Version 5.0

Here is version 5.0.  It's incorporated the most recent list of Jonathan Gold's 101 along with Los Angeles Magazine list of best restaurants.  It also includes Zagat, Gayot and Eater. Restaurants still need to appear on more two or more lists to qualify.  However, this list is greatly expanded because it includes restaurants listed on  Zagat down to 25/30 and Gayot all the way down to 14/20.

For this version, I normalized the the Yelp! rating also to a max of 3 points to match the other lists.

The first four lists (Gold, LA Magazine, Zagat, Gayot) contribute to the score depending on the ranking or rating.  Eater only acts to qualify restaurants if they also appear on at least one other list. A combined list of all Eater restaurants since October 2013 is compiled since the list changes quarterly.

Eater is worth 1 point regardless of position, since it's not really a ranking.  Eater only acts to qualify for the list because not appearing on this or any other list will also give 1 point.  The remaining lists are normalized to a maximum of three points.  The theoretical maximum score is 16.  Gold, Zagat, Gayot, Yelp! and LA Magazine contribute up to 3 points a piece and Eater just 1 point.

Stars are my personal rating.  I feel like my ratings are more objective than those coming from foodies, because I don't even like food.
